We’re taking a moment to breathe now that the federal grant freeze has been rescinded. While we have weathered this moment of confusion and chaos, we are mindful that there will continue to be rapid changes and shifts in information on all sorts of issues that impact our work, our partners’ work, or the communities and people we seek to support.
Hunger Free Oklahoma is always actively monitoring the national and state legislative and executive actions to stay on top of new developments. Our goal is always to keep our partners and the public informed, and to prevent unnecessary panic or fear. That means we will likely never be the first group to send you an email or post to social media, but rest assured that we will be the first to start gathering information, that as soon as we have concrete information and understand the implications of that information we will share it, and that you can trust what we share is accurate at the time we share it.
The landscape will be constantly shifting for the foreseeable future, and we’re committed to providing clarity as soon as possible, support to our partners and communities based on that information, and opportunities for action.
Hunger Free Oklahoma will continue to operate as we do every day regardless of the chaos that may surround us. We will respond and we will adapt, but we will not waiver in our commitment to end hunger in Oklahoma together with all of you.
