SNAP expands food access in these additional ways:

The Senior’s Farmers Market program is available to all Oklahomans.

Become direct certified for school meals. SNAP participation can ensure free school meals for the children living in your household.


SNAP expands access to other support programs:

SNAP participants may also be eligible for Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers. Click here to learn more.

SNAP participants may also be eligible for WIC. Through The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), the U.S. Department of Agriculture provides federal grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk. SNAP participants may also be eligible for Medicaid, known as SoonerCare in Oklahoma. Click here to learn more.

The eligibility requirements for SNAP and the LIHEAP program are similar, therefore, SNAP participants may also be eligible for LIHEAP. Click here to learn more.

SNAP participants may also be able to use the IRS’s free tax filing program, VITA, and/or the tax counseling service for the elderly, TCE. Click here to learn more.

SNAP expands access to community resources and services:

Qualifying government assistance recipients can access all of Prime for $6.99/month (reg. $14.99/month). Click here for more details.

The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more.

The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands.

Through Museums for All, those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) can gain free or reduced admission to more than 1,000 museums throughout the United States simply by presenting their EBT card and a photo ID. Click here to learn more.

Oklahoma City Zoo: Guests presenting a valid Oklahoma SNAP/EBT/WIC card, a Tribal WIC card or The Chickasaw Nation Packed Promise or Summer EBT card with valid photo ID will receive $3 general Zoo admission for themselves and three additional guests.  Four total. Click here to learn more.
